S4K’s MACBETH is a musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic play by Julian Chenery & Matt Gimblett, created for the Shakespeare 4 Kidz Theatre Company in 2000. Since then it has regularly toured theatres in the UK and overseas. The show last played in the UAE in 2018.
S4K’s MACBETH is the story of a noble Scottish warrior who becomes king after hearing the prophecies of three mysterious figures, how he murders his way to the crown, and fights to the death to try to keep it - a musical thriller with a superb twist that is “guaranteed to keep kidz of all ages on the edge of their seats”. [London Evening Standard]
Chenery & Gimblett’s renowned S4K style blends the original text with easy-to-understand modern dialogue, music, song and dance to create a unique re-telling that is “Eerily atmospheric, genuinely original, truly entertaining and stealthily educational”.
S4K's MACBETH has proven ideal for those studying the original play in school, particularly those at junior and lower secondary level.
The show is performed in ENGLISH and sensitively adapted for UAE audiences.
